Spring 2009 Semester

Pretend Players, Ages 4 - 6
Creative Drama Level I
This course is designed to introduce preschoolers to the world of theatre and performing through the use of games, exercises, and creative play. Kids learn to work and play together to put on a performance where everyone plays an important part.

Songs and Stories, Ages 4 - 6
Creative Drama Level II
This course is designed to introduce preschoolers to the world of theatre and performing through the use of songs and stories. Kids learn how to work and play together by singing songs and acting out their favorite stories.

Fairytale Friends, Kindergarten
Creative Drama Level III
This course is a more advanced continuation of Creative Drama Levels I & II.

Fantasy, Fables & Fun, Grades 1 - 2
This course is an introductory Creative Drama class for older school-age children.

Musical Magic A & B, Grades 1 - 2
This course is designed to integrate young children into the world of theatre and performance through the use of simple songs and stories. The focus of this class is how music and storytelling are an integral part of any performance piece.

Adventures in Acting, Grades 3 - 5
This course is designed as an introduction to the theatre and acting by teaching the basic environment and tools of the actor and how to use them.

Journeys in Acting Grades 3 - 5
This course is designed for 3-5 graders who have completed Fantasy, Fables & Fun, Adventures in Acting, or Musical Magic. The course explores basic acting and performance techniques.

Musical Theatre I & II, Grades 3 - 5
This course is designed to give young actors with previous class experience an introduction to the various vocal techniques and dance styles used in Musical Theatre.

Voice & Diction, Grades 4 - 5
This course is designed to familiarize the young actor with his/her voice and to develop the voice as a tool for performance.

Acting II: Improvisation, Grades 6 - 8
This course is designed to give young actors an approach to acting by giving them the creative foundation of improvisational skills from which to draw.

Musical Theatre I & II, Grades 6 - 8
This course is designed to give the student with previous class experience an understanding of a musical theatre piece as an acting opportunity, as well as a singing and dancing one.

Acting III: Style, Grades 7 - 9
Pre-requisite: Must be in 7th grade and have taken Acting II or Scene Study
This course is designed for the advanced young actor and explores major acting styles such as Shakespearean, Commedia and Comedy of Manners.

Teen Acting & College Prep Workshop, Grades 9 - 12
This course is a comprehensive acting class for high school students which incorporates research and information about college requirements for theatre majors and minors.

Ballet/Tap/Jazz Combo, Grades 4 - 6
Beginning to intermediate levels

Ballet/Musical Theatre Dance Combo, Grades 9 - 12
Experienced required / audition required. Advanced dancers only.
