WITH BROADWAY DIRECTOR/CHOREOGRAPHER RICHARD STAFFORD
Description: Meet and work with preeminent master of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats, Richard Stafford. Using the original choreography from the mega-hit Broadway show, Mr. Stafford helps students connect technique and choreography to acting intentions, character, and physical expression.
Level: Advanced beginners and up are welcome!
Cost: $150 ($125 for currently registered CPAC students). $35 Auditing Fee for Parents who wish to observe (subject to availability.)

About Mr. Stafford: On Broadway, Mr. Stafford was the choreographer for In My Life (Music Box Theatre), the associate choreographer for Aspects of Love (Broadhurst Theatre), and dance supervisor for CATS (Winter Garden Theatre.) Internationally, he was director/choreographer for The Full Monty, Joseph…Dreamcoat (Mexico City), CATS (Copenhagen, Sao Paulo, Rio) choreographer for Jesus Christ Superstar (Mexico City), Evita (Sydney), CATS (Mexico City, Buenos Aires.) National Tours include CATS (director/ choreographer), My Fair Lady (choreographer), Joseph…Dreamcoat (choreographer, starring Deborah Gibson and Patrick Cassidy)—Troika Entertainment. Mr. Stafford won the Barrymore Award for outstanding choreography for La Cage Aux Folles at the Walnut Street Theatre and the NYMF “outstanding choreography” award for Castle Walk. As an educator, Mr. Stafford has taught Theatre Jazz, Tap and Ballet in NYC at STEPS, Broadway Dance Center and Broadway Donation as well as dance studios across the country and internationally. He has taught Ballroom Dance for Actors at Marymount College, Scene Study at the TUTS school, and Dance Audition Technique and Theatre Dance at NYU (Steinhardt.)
