What To Do At The Audition

Please bring a current picture with 1-page resume stapled to the back.  Please be prepared to sing two songs, one upbeat and one ballad, 16 bars each.  Please bring sheet music in your key.  Pianist will not transpose music.  Absolutely NO tapes / CDs or a capella singing will be permitted.  Please wear dance clothing and bring dance shoes (jazz or ballet, sneakers are acceptable).

Please Note

Casa Mañana’s premier youth touring company, Casa Kids, is a year long commitment.  If cast, you must be available for the two week Casa Kid Boot Camp from Monday, July 21  through Saturday, July 26, and Monday, July 28 through Saturday, August 2, from 9:00am to 4:00pm each day.  No absences are allowed during Boot Camp.  If you are not available to attend the entire camp, please do not audition.

 

During the year, Casa Kids rehearsals are every Friday at 4:45-6:15.  Performance times include late afternoons, evenings, and weekends.  Casa Kids is an advanced educational program of Casa Mañana’s Theatre School.  Entrance is by audition only.  There is no charge for Casa Kids, however if accepted, you must enroll in at least one class at the Theatre School during both the fall and spring semesters.
